Sue Bramall ventures into the world of software development with the launch of IDAHO after two years of effort – a workflow software which now helps us to manage the planning, production, authorisation and distribution of expert knowledge and content.
Having seen my two sons off to university and finally given up my role as sports-taxi service, I had all sorts of grand plans for my free time including finishing a book (nearly done), travelling, spending more time hiking, fly-fishing, seeing more live music, dusting off my clarinet …
One activity that I never expected to have on my empty nest list was software developer. But December 2017 saw the culmination of two years of effort as we launched IDAHO - our workflow software which now helps us to manage the planning, production, authorisation and distribution of expert knowledge and content.
Working with dozens of law firms and numerous lawyers, as you can imagine, a huge flow of content passes across our desks and back and forth between solicitors, marketing teams, design or web agencies, and external publishers. Ensuring that deadlines are met and appropriate approvals obtained needed an efficient system for management and quality control. Tracking all this is now a breeze, compared to two years ago when we were surviving on various unconnected spreadsheets.
