Top tip: Set your firm's web site as your browser homepage
15 Dec 2011
If you care whether a particular web page is kept up to date, then the simplest way to keep an eye on it is to set it as the home page for your internet browser.
It could be your firm's home page, your departmental page or the news and events page.
Seeing it on a regular basis will prompt you to keep it up to date.
If you use Internet Explorer:
- Click on your Internet Explorer icon; you will find this in your Start menu, or the toolbar at the bottom of your desktop window.
- Type in your prefered URL to Internet Exlplorer's search box at the top of the browser window eg. Berners Marketing.
- Arrive at the page you desire.
- Go to the toolbar at the top of the browser, and click on "Tools", then "Internet Options".
- At the top of the pop-up, you will see a "Home Page" box. The address of the site that you are currently at (eg. http://www.bernersmarketing.com) is there. Press the "Use Current" button to specify this page as your home page.
